Kumoya is a Japanese-French inspired café based in sunny Singapore. The name Kumoya in Japanese refers to fluffy, light cloud house. “Kumo” refers to clouds and “Ya” means house or shop.
In the last year, Kumoya ventured into themed pop-up café and successfully collaborated with some of the world’s most iconic brand such as Cinnamoroll, Miffy, Care Bears, tokidoki, Mr Men Little Miss, My Little Pony, Pusheen and Snoopy.
Kumoya is also proud to attain a little feather in our cap when Miffy meets Kumoya pop-up café won the best location based or Experiential Initiative of the year at the prestigious Hong Kong Asian Licensing Awards 2018.
Our philosophy and culture is all about inclusiveness and fun through food. We want friends, family, the community, to enjoy new experiences at Kumoya. Making it the perfect pop-up themed café to relax for a meal and dessert – at one go.
Our inclusiveness also means our menu has No Pork, No Lard and No Alcohol and prepared by team of Muslim staff and colleagues in a manner that’s suitable for todays’ modern Muslim dietary palette. All our ingredients are also sourced from major Halal distributors and suppliers.
As we move into the last quarter of 2019, nothing could be more apt than to celebrate the year’s end! For this, Kumoya has lined up a huge surprise that cuts across generations.
Sesame Street is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary and Kumoya is joining in on the fun. Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Abby will be at Kumoya from Thursday, 26 September 2019 to Sunday, 29 December 2019 and “Let’s Celebrate”.
In celebration of 50 Years and Counting of a globally recognized and beloved brand, We’ll transform Kumoya into a Sesame Street – themed cafe! Kids and adults will also enjoy a special Sesame Street inspired menu – concocted by our Kumoya kitchen team together with Shirley Wong (@littlemissbento).
We’re sure you’ll go ‘Om Nom Nom” like Cookie Monster!
