Do I really need Corporate Headshots of myself now? Or is it a MUST in this climate?
If you are a big fan of Game Of Thrones, you know the winter is not just coming, it is here and the white walkers are just on the north wall. Oh, it’s the economic winter that we are talking about in early 2019.
In the second half of 2019, we had seen the 18000 jobs being slashed in Deutsche Bank worldwide, then Barclays, the HSBC and other banks follow suit, and government stats saying that unemployment rate is on the rise.
Recently, in Feb 2020, HSBC is signaling another 35,000 job cuts worldwide soon. The Covid-19 situation is evolving everyday since late Jan 2020 and its unpredictability in all fronts is getting on everybody’s nerves (both employers and employees).
Yes bad news upon bad news and what is coming is everyone’s guess. However, winter is great for those who are ready for them. We cannot control whats beyond our control but we can certainly do our part to control what we can for ourselves and others.
It is the time to sharpen the business operations, updating SOPs, updating websites, strengthening staff training, and doing the things that most people won’t have the time to do during busy times.
Maybe you’re a fresh graduate and about to step into the working world, not sure what or how you are going to get to that job yet. Have you prepared your photo for your CV to compete with experienced workers?
Perhaps your company had been looking to update the website to show images of your team, so potential clients can put a face to a name to make you relatable. Or even the company could want to be more active on LinkedIn and need professional profile shots of key members in the company.
It is said that a picture tells a thousand words and it is the first impression of you of whether you are given the opportunity for the interview. Do you have your professional headshot for your fighting chance?
Still unsure? We’re here to help!
Have You Been Doing This?
Our experience shows that majority of people haven’t been looking for work in the past 2-3 years, and the last time they have their corporate images taken were from 4-6 years ago.
Have you been using an old photo of yourself? Or maybe been cropping a group photo to just your face? Or have you been using your selfie images?
If you have been doing these, it’s a sign you need to do a corporate headshots for yourself.
There’s nothing wrong with these images on a personal level, but your photos should represent the kind of person you are and still be taken seriously and professionally. Stand out from the rest, a professionally done corporate headshot is a much needed tool in today’s tough job market.
Needed a corporate photo and came across on Google. Making an appointment and getting the photos all in 2 weeks. Amazing service and quick turnaround. Special thanks to photographer Magdalene and admin Lydia! – Garion
Why Do I Need Corporate Headshots For?
Even if you’re not looking for new jobs, it’s always important to be earlier prepared. You may never know the importance of it till you need it urgently. It’s important to have a professional headshot of you because a photo speaks a thousand words more quickly than what’s written on your resume. It’s the first impression.
2. It’s been requested by your current company
Your company may want to build a brand image with the help of consistent images of the team on the company’s website, brochures, announcements, annual reports or even for company events.
3. Be searchable on LinkedIn
You can decide on the vibe you’d like to give out, professional yet approachable, professional yet casual, fun or however you need it to be! But still being taken seriously with a professional photo, and not a pixelated image from your phone.
When you’re out for work events or even if you’ve bumped into a stranger who is from a company you’d be open to get to know with, a business card will definitely come in handy! Business cards are great for you to easily be contacted. Nowadays, there’s even digital business cards, so a professional headshot is important to put a face to your contact details.
5. Personal Branding
If you’ve started your own business, you need to ensure your targeted audience understand your visions as a company through a congruent style that reflects that. This applies to your personal headshots as well!
6. Personal Images for Social Medias
Be it Facebook, Twitter, Tinder, Tik Tok and all the other social media platforms these days, we need a professional photo taken of us to encapsulate the kind of person we are out there!
This is the time where you need to stand out, a normal passport photo picture of yourself is not going to cut it where there are more people fighting for the job that you are after, the attention of your prospects when they are deciding between you and your competitor.
Invest in a few professional headshots of yourself, and simply enjoy the shoot experience while we do the rest. A simple photo can help to even boost your confidence in yourself and the skills you present. Be proud of yourself, you’ve come a long way!
If you think this is what you need to give yourself a push further in the job market or for job security, just drop us an email for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org or WhatsApp us at +65 8717 1558 and we’ll get back to you the soonest.
Since we started in 2009, we had been very lucky to witness the love and care in families, and watch them grow from the family photoshoots they’ve had with us through the years.
One of the most common reason why people come to have a professional photoshoot is to celebrate and capture the moment. Celebrate the milestones of a person’s life such as birthday, children, mum, dad, grandparents, years of wedding anniversary, new addition to the family, wedding, having a newborn baby, baby’s milestones or graduations.
For some it starts with their first Maternity Shoot as a couple, then a 6-Months Baby Shoot, then a Family Shoot, and then a Generational Family Shoot. Sometimes, the list goes on because photos are never too much – every major milestone is different.
Too often we hear parents say, “It feels like it was just yesterday when they were little.” Time passes us by, and before you know it, our babies are all grown.
The best part of having your photos taken every milestone? Is being able to watch your family change and grow over time again and again, and being able to remember the little moments and feelings that came along with it. We may have different reasons to why we are always taking photos, even if it’s of the same people. Being able to capture our journey, allows our history to be something our future kids can be a part of, from just looking at the photos – letting them see and know who we were once like, how we were like. Your memories become theirs.
We first met the Reijngoudt family of 7 at Singapore Botanic Gardens in 2012. The youngest boy was 16 months at that time.
The following year, they were back for another family session, this time at West Coast Park.
In 2015, they came back to capture the memories of the kids, this time in our studio. The growth we saw in these kids were phenomenal. We can’t help but keep staring at the photos of them and thinking to ourselves how much they’ve grown since our last session. It seemed like yesterday!
In 2018, we got a note from mum saying this time round, we have a new member, one of the boy’s girlfriend will also be joining in the photoshoot too!
Photos are sentimental. These are the things families look back to and remember how far they’ve gone as a family. It may even be a source of motivation to them, the reason why we keep going.
There is a saying that goes, “Children Spell LOVE as TIME. There may be many reasons as to why you cannot be with your children but none of them can replace the time lost. Once lost, it’s gone forever, you can never recreate the moment again.” The older kids from the Reijngoudt family are already in their late teens, early 20’s now. Perhaps away from home for their studies.
Being able to watch Reijngoudt family and many families grow, and to provide a tangible memory for families is the greatest reward to us.
You know how sometimes we browse for photo inspiration and goes “Eh, I think I can pose like that too!”
And we start to screenshot the photos happily wanting to follow the exact pose and “feel”.
“Is it achievable?” “I really like it and I want to tell the photographer before the shoot to follow the exact style!”
We thought we’ll share with you some of the questions you have in achieving these dancing shots (a popular request by pregnant mummies).
Is it easy?….
It seems like it is something I can do too?…..
Is it safe? …..
Do I have to be a dancer to achieve this? …..
It can always be edited by photoshop right?…..
We will be sharing all the “tried and tested” Q&A session on the entire experience with you thanks to our experienced photographers and our dancer mummies!
Q: I really like this pose for it looks so elegant, is it safe? Do i have to be a dancer to achieve this?
A: Your safety is always our number 1 priority and yes it helps if you are a dancer because it would mean that you have been practising for a period of time. You will also know your body best, how flexible you are and how much you can “push” for the angles you would like to pose and achieve.
This beautiful mummy in the photo has been practising dancing for over a decade and she shared with us that she is really comfortable twisting and have no problem balancing. She wished to include dancing movements and poses in her photoshoot because dancing has played a huge part in her life. Our photographer, Mag, was the one who was more concern and kept asking if she is doing ok instead!
Q: I am not a dancer and would love to pose like one. Will you be able to help?
A: Our photographers are trained to help ease you into posing comfortably and safely but it is also important for you to understand your body.
For dancing poses it helps if your body is more flexible even if you have no dancing background, for instance you have been practising yoga or pilates, it might help you balance better.
Your body’s center of gravity is constantly changing during pregnancy, you might be less coordinated and may even find it harder to maintain your balance. It is important to share information with your photographer for example you have been practising yoga and pilates and would like to add some poses into the shoot or you have learned chinese dance before and would like to incorporate some of the postures because this will help photographer to better achieve what you want.
This is also why our photographers will always discuss with you prior your photoshoot session to better understand your likes and preferences.
Q: Can you include some dancing poses with me and my husband because it looks cute and fun? Are you able to help us?
A: You can most definitely show our photographers what you really like and they will be able to advise you based on your movements and flexibility. It would be best to also discuss with your husband at home and try out some of the various dancing poses that you like.
Sometimes what we think in our mind does not necessary translate into our actual posing, so this will allow you both to see if you are able to recreate what you like. It is also important to remember to have fun and enjoy the photoshoot session so that when you look back at the photos, it is not only meaningful but in time to come will turn into stories to be shared with your children.
Q: But I really really like that pose and I want to create the same!
A: Our photographers will always prioritise your safety and give their best in helping you create what you like. With that being said, there are many other factors to take into consideration as well.
To manage your expectations, our photographers will discuss with you and try to recreate similar pose based on safety, your body flexibility, how well you can balance, stretch, just to list a few.
Q: Do you provide dancing costumes? Or do I have to bring my own outfits?
A: We do provide a variety of outfits to choose from and you can get some outfit inspiration. You are also welcome to bring your own outfits to make the photoshoot session more personalised and intimate.
Impressive service, exceptional photography. We booked a family/maternity shoot for a weekend morning, but when the day arrived, everything seemed to go wrong: my makeup artist was a no-show and my daughter was sick and very cranky as a result. We nearly wanted to postpone the shoot, but decided not to in the end. Our photographer, Fatilyn, and another of the staff, Melissa, were very patient in handling our fussy child and managing the entire session. Still, I wasn’t too optimistic about the outcome, until I saw the photos, which were sent to us the very next day. They are of great quality and we couldn’t have asked for a better set of photos despite the circumstances that day! – Clarice Ting
Themed Baby Milestone Photoshoot – Sitter Session – What Is It?
We are pretty sure that by now, you have seen lots of professional baby photos in cutesy poses and props. Either you have seen them on your news feeds, calendars, greeting cards, posters, coffee table books or have known of friends of a friend who have had those photos taken before.
Where Was It All Inspired From?
The name Anne Geddes might sound foreign to you but I am very sure you would have seen her work or even own one! Anne Geddes was once the Queen of Baby Photography (based on the ArtNet News by Noor Brara on 30 April 2020) and has sold more than 18 million books and 13 million calendars worldwide! Inspired by reading bedtime stories to her young daughters, Anne began to envision fairytale telling through photography which lead to the creation of her first book “Down in the Garden”. It was New York Times Best Seller and this book changed the face of children’s photography globally and launched Anne’s international career as bestselling author.

I Want One For My Baby Too!
For first time mums, you’d think that all the baby photos taken are all the same. If THAT baby can fit in a bucket, mine can too! If that baby can curl up and suck their toes, I’m pretty sure mine at 11 months old can too!…… Or is it really? Keep reading to find out why in reality, doesn’t happen anytime, any age.
First year is the time where baby goes through tremendous growth and development. Apart from physical growth, they are also learning all sorts of new skills during this time from lifting head, rolling over, sitting, standing, crawling, walking, running etc. Babies get to experience all of their FIRSTS during this time…..
First Steps…. or even their
First Expression when tasting new food.
Wouldn’t you want to remember those first moments forever? In moments like these with YOUR BABY IN IT — So — what are the different milestones in baby’s first year of life that are worth getting a professional photoshoot done? Let’s do a quick visual recap below.
Baby’s 1st Year Milestones
5-10 Days Old Newborn Baby
This is the best time to capture early memories of your baby’s life with their fresh wrinkly skin in all their sleepy and snuggly glory when they are still so tiny and in their tight foetal position.
3 Months/ 100 Days Milestone
Some traditions and customs celebrates the first 100 days of a baby birth as a sign that baby would live to see their first birthday. Besides celebrating their good health and bestowing sweet smiles on you, your little one may start rolling over laughing and chuckling as well. Baby might protest when placed on her tummy but she needs tummy time on a daily basics for exercising her neck, chest and arm muscles.
Sitters Milestone – 6-9 Months
Some of baby’s big achievements include sitting up independently, doing ‘sit & reach‘, and attempting to “respond” to peek-a-boos, music and sounds. Baby might even have his/her own opinions now and show you with those cute cheeky expressions.
Crawler Milestone – 9-11 Months
Your baby might be an all-four crawler, three-legger crawler, commando crawler or could also be a forward/backward ‘bum shifter”!
If baby hasn’t started crawling, he/she might try to push up on his hands and knees to explore movement. Being curious, baby will also likely be grabbing his/her favourite toys and holding objects.
One Year Old Birthday
Reaching the one year old mark is a big deal for both your baby and yourself as this calls for a celebration. This is a major milestone as baby’s personality has begin to blossom and is not shy about expressing their preferences for people and activities. Baby may already be standing and cruising along while holding on furnitures or your hands while trying to take steps. Some babies would have started to walk but not quite know how to ‘brake’ yet.
12-18 Mths Toddler – Walk, Run, Hop
During this time, they are more confident walkers who knows when and how to apply their ‘brakes’, and will then move on to developing their running and hopping skills. Memories of them being happy & carefree at this milestone — Priceless!
Why Sitter Milestone Session?
Since 2009, Bambini Photography have been photographing babies and families of all ages and milestones with focus on the family with the baby; instead of baby with the family with the exception of newborns.
Over time, we have had the privilege of gathering feedback with our clients, peers and our own market research to identify new trends and to push ourselves to go above and beyond to create more for our clients. We listen, we analyse, we innovate with our own flavour and come up with a new series of imagery for your sitter babies. It was always in our mind to create this, and after months of working behind the scenes, we are happy with a new set of images that we are happy to call our own and so proud that we think your kids deserve to have one too. At Bambini, we are always at the forefront of the innovation so our clients have something new to look forward to when they choose to have their images captured again.
We get it! Parent’s are overwhelmed in the early days after baby arrives and by the time they remember they want to do a newborn photoshoot, they missed the optimum 2 week window.
At about 6-8 months, parents have:
- more or less eased into the baby’s routine,
- gotten over the initial shock on lifestyle changes from 2 to 3;
- have perhaps been able to have longer uninterrupted sleep.
- lost some postpartum weight.
- got back to working and trying hard to balance work and home life without feeling guilty either way.
Hence found the courage and motivation to arrange for baby’s photoshoot before the baby grows even more.
Furthermore, once they discover their next milestone of cruising/walking, they would be more interested in trying and practicing to get to their next milestone instead of sitting down or being on their tummy doing the cobra pose for you. (tell me about baby’s instinctive desire to do better, to improve, to learn! We adults need to keep up!)
I’m really happy had my baby 6 months shoot with bambini ! The team are very friendly and patient . And the most of time they make me feel they really provide a good service👍🏻 me and hubby like the outcome of the picture and definitely will come back soon for other session! Thank you!
Top 5 Reasons Why Sitters Are Among Our Favourite Ages To Photograph
- They are sitting up confidently unaided or with little help but not walking yet;
- They are very interactive at this milestone;
- They are full of curious expressions and oh those cute baby rolls too! (Please tell me I’m not the only one who loves the roundness and chubbiness of a 6 months old baby!);
- They are excited to practice their newfound skill of sitting up independently thus allowing us to capture their growing personality and adorable faces;
- Parents are happy as they don’t have to ‘chase’ the baby around yet:)
What To Expect From A Sitter Milestone Photoshoot?
What’s for Boys?
What’s for Girls?
These theme setups are not only beautiful but they also bring out the curiosity in your child. To be able to see their first reactions and capturing them is just priceless.
We often experience all the awwww’s and woww’s by parents along with their laughters when they are on set with us for they get to also see their babies’ immediate response.
For instance we often get feedbacks from parents that they didnt know baby loves dinosaur so much he wouldn’t let go or that their little girl is so smiley putting on our bonnets they would like to head straight to the mall to get her a hat now!We love doing what we do; to be able to capture all your little bubs first-hand reactions and making them into a lifetime memory. Making it Tangible by Personalising The Memories of Fairytales & Adventures WITH YOUR BABY IN IT!
When & How To Book?
Every baby is unique. Some can sit up independently at 6 months, some at 8 months.
Hence, like newborn photography, you book ahead before your child sit up independently, so we can always adjust the shooting time once they are ready. We often hear mothers saying that they are feeling guilty for missing out on something important for their child. Time passes quickly. Mothers, you tend to be the superwomen at home and need to take care of everything. Without you knowing it, your baby start to crawl and miss this milestone! You simply don’t want to add this to your endless list of guilt that you could have got it done it before.
Themed Sitter Milestone Sessions are usually done in our studio and can be an add-on to a family photoshoot; or a standalone mini shoot for baby only.
There are so many great things about Bambini, I hardly know where to start!
– Jenna Wang
We had such a great experience with Bambini Photography. First, they’re the most reasonably priced of all the baby photography studios I looked into. There are different packages so you can choose what you want based on what you need, and I never had that sinking feeling of being up sold. – Lydia Clark
