We had a really wonderful experience with Bambini this afternoon for our family photoshoot🥳🥳🎊🎊. We laughed and enjoyed the different poses suggested by May, the photographer💕💕💕. She was fully aware of our requirements and has been accommodating towards all our requests. She was friendly and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable throughout the session. We had a 3-month-old shoot with Syafiq, who made our little one looks like rockstar and his frazzled parents more than decent. Syafiq's sense of humour and thoughtfulness put us at ease, he even managed to coax smiles out of our fussy boy. He was also very accommodating and understanding when we needed more time to soothe and get the baby ready. The photos strike a good balance between studio formal and casual warmth. On the administrative side, Lydia was amazing too - replying so promptly even in the evenings and the weekend. We'd love to be back to capture future milestones!

We did the maternity shoot last Friday and both my husband and I had a wonderful experience!! I was feeling very unsure and super self conscious about my pregnant body but walking away I am glad I did it! Lydia was very patient and attend to all my questions and emails leading up to the shoot. I am sure it’s not easy dealing with emotional pregnant lady so hats off to her. When school holidays approaches, parents start to look for things to fill their days when the kids are home. It’s also usually the school holidays where parents create new experiences for the kids and perhaps for themselves at the same time.

Duchess of Cambridge (now Princess of Wales) revealed in her Happy Mum, Happy Baby Interview Podcast in 2020 that she tries to incorporate a lot of experiences that her granny gave her; into the experiences she give to her children now. Doing simple things like taking a walk, cooking, doing arts and crafts and essentially spending time together. Here are a few ideas that families can do with their kids this school holidays.

1. Reconnect With Nature This School Holidays

Take a break from the city life and reconnect with nature. Get outdoors and spice up your healthy living habits by exploring the nature reserves and parks via the Park Connector Network of Singapore (PCN)!

Whether it’s cycling, walking, running or hiking, take some time away from the screens and dive into an adventure like no other? It’s a great way to get the whole family involved with physical activity and bonding.

Get out and make some lasting memories while staying active in spectacular sights around our garden city.

2. Cooking Or Baking Together

Bonding experiences in the kitchen are invaluable for both parents and children. In pre-schools, the kids get to do pretend play at the kitchen corner. When you cook or bake together with the kids, the little ones get to watch the process of making real food from scratch, and they even get to help out! Not only do they learn how to make delicious dishes, but also how to practice delayed gratification by creating something together over time.

Now that Covid is behind us, we are free to photograph as many or as little people in a shoot. Our studio can easily fit up to 30 pax.

To us, everyday is Mother’s Day but there is one particular day in a year that is dedicated just for mothers. On the 2nd Sunday in the month of May, this is the day the world celebrates Mother’s Day.

Its the time of the year again where in normal times, we see mothers from young to old receiving flowers; 1-5 generations of mothers celebrating Mother’s Day with a special meal with the family; Baby girl, mum, grandma to great/great grandmas spending the day together visiting /revisiting places of interest reminiscing memories spent with the family.

Mothers Day In 2020 Vs Now

Mother’s Day in May 2020 was very different where all of us were staying home. We suddenly became an expert in online purchases, multi-tasking work, domestic chores & kid’s home schooling all at the same time when everyone is home 24/7 during the peak of the pandemic.

Fast forward to 2023, Mother’s Day events and celebrations are back with to pre-pandemic era.

We had a GREAT TIME shooting with Shafiq! He was friendly and cheerful early in the morning and most importantly, great with kids! It was a challenge shooting with an energetic 6 year old and cranky and sleepy 3 month old, but Shafiq made it a breeze. He was patient when baby was fussing and even assured us it was OK for baby to take a break first while he shot the others. He also tried to incorporate a sleeping baby into our family shot and was quick to capture the fleeting moments when baby was awake or smiling. Really quick thinking on his part! It was truly pleasant interacting with Shafiq and he made today’s photoshoot a great experience for us (and a great start to my birthday for myself)! I truly enjoy the whole process and experience of having my family shots with Bambini and will look forward to more family photoshoots in the years to come to document my boys growing up. Looking forward to the photos to come! (Also loving it that Bambini has a really efficient turnover time after the photoshoot)
