Growing With Us: One Family Photographed Through the Years
We first photographed the Reijngoudt family of seven in 2012, when their youngest child was just 16 months old. Over the next six years, they returned several times as their children grew from a toddler into a school aged child, the older children became teenagers and young adults.

Their photographs are a reminder that the changes between individual years can seem small. It’s only when the images are placed side by side that you realise just how much has changed.
2012 – Our first session with the family

2013 – One Year Later
2015 – Growing Up
By this session, the changes in the children were becoming much more noticeable.
2018 – The Family Keeps Growing
By 2018, there was a new face in the family portrait. Mum let us know that one of her son’s girlfriend would be joining them for the session.
This became the last we photographed the Reijngoudt family, six years after their first session with us.
Family Portraits Change As Your Family Does
There’s no set schedule for updating a family portrait. Some families return every year, while others come back when something has changed. It could be that the children are older, someone is graduating, everyone is home again or the last family photograph simply no longer looks like the family today.
