Newborn photoshoot packages below are based on weekday studio sessions. Weekend sessions and additional family members are available at additional cost.
Not Sure How Many Images You’ll Want?
If you prefer to decide on your photographs after seeing the gallery, you can start with our $500 Newborn Session Fee without committing to an image package upfront.
Session Fee covers the newborn photoshoot only and does not include digital images or products. After viewing your gallery online, simply choose the digital images or products you’d like to purchase.
When Is The Best Time For A Newborn Photoshoot?
The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is usually within the first two weeks after birth, when many babies still naturally curl into the positions commonly seen in newborn photography.
Every baby is different, however, and your baby’s comfort and safety always come first. We work with what your baby is comfortable doing rather than forcing a particular pose.
If your baby is already approaching one month old, you can still have beautiful photographs taken. The style simply changes as babies become more alert.
What Is Provided For A Newborn Photoshoot?
You don’t need to arrive with a suitcase of newborn photography props.
Bambini provides a selection of newborn wraps, props and headbands for use during your session.
You’re welcome to bring something personal if you’d like included in your baby’s photographs. Such as a special blanket gifted by grandma, toy or keepsake.

What If My Baby Doesn’t Sleep?
Your baby doesn’t have to sleep throughout the photoshoot.
Newborn sessions allow time for feeding, changing, cuddling and settling, and we work around how your baby is feeling on the day. If baby is awake, we can also photograph alert expressions and interactions rather than trying to force a sleeping pose.
Can Parents & Siblings Join The Newborn Photoshoot?
Yes. The Essential and Popular newborn packages include baby together with up to 3 family members, so your session can include newborn portraits as well as portraits with parents, siblings and the family together.
This is especially useful when there are older children meeting their new sibling. Mr Potato guides the family combinations and works with young children throughout the session.

Every newborn is different. We gently position baby according to what they are comfortable with on the day rather than trying to achieve every set up or pose
If a particular set up or position isn’t working for your baby, we move on to something that is.

Before your session, let us know who will be joining and the top 3 newborn photography styles you like from our portfolio. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll send you a Newborn Photoshoot Preparation Guide with what to bring and how to prepare baby for the session.
During the session, Mr Potato works through the planned newborn set ups and family combinations, with time for feeding, changing and settling baby as needed.
After the photoshoot, your images are edited and prepared for online selection, so you can choose your favourites from home.
