Simple newborn portraits keep the attention on your baby’s tiny features, expressions and details. We can introduce soft colours, wraps and textures while keeping the overall photograph centred on your baby.
If you prefer more variety, simple portraits and selected styled setups can be photographed within the same session where time allows.
Styled & Themed Newborn Photography
For parents who prefer something more playful, we also photograph newborns with selected styled and themed setups.
You don’t necessarily have to choose between simple and styled photographs. Depending on the session booked and how baby is doing on the day, we can create a mixture of looks during your photoshoot.
Newborn Photos With Parents & Family
Your newborn photoshoot can also document the people welcoming baby into the family.
Alongside photographs of your newborn alone, we can photograph baby with Mum and Dad, parents together, and the immediate family according to the session booked.
These photographs often become especially meaningful later. Not only will the photos show how tiny your baby once was, but how they fitted into your family at the very beginning.

For families with older children, the newborn photoshoot is also the beginning of a new sibling relationship.
Depending on the older child’s age and personality, we’ll guide the photographs accordingly rather than expecting young children to interact with their new sibling in a particular way.

When Should We Photograph Your Newborn?
For the sleepy, curled-up photographs typically associated with newborn photography, the ideal time is usually within the first two weeks after birth.
If your baby is already older than this, don’t worry. Beautiful baby and family photographs are still possible. The style of photographs simply changes as babies become more alert and interactive.
