One vowel and three consonents made up this wondorous word.
The definition from the dictionary that we find most befitting would be ‘to give something voluntary to another person without compensation.’

Gifts are wonderful things that build memories and foster strong relationship. The thing about gifting is that you receive so much happiness at the end knowing you’ve made the someone very happy.

The process of picking the right gift however, left most of us scratching our heads. We had to factor in hobbies and interests in the quest of selecting the perfect present and more often than not we end up buying something we know will be left in the storage room collecting dust.

We forget that these days that practicality and interesting gifts are actually personalisation, and personalisation far outweighs the rest, taking the art of gifting a notch up.

Gone are the frivolous days of spending time roaming in aisles of malls because the best kinds of present are the ones that contain meaning and memories to remind that recipient of a special time.

Being a family photographer we have seen how much we have made a difference, giving a family that warm fuzzy feeling when they see their photographs together.

Photographs are powerful and can be somewhat binding. It reminds us of what used to be and it attest the time we were in.

As Susan Sontag puts it, “All photographs are momento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”

The thought of gift vouchers for Bambini came about after a happy client whose newborn we photographed asked for it for her friend who was going to deliver her baby the month after. Instead of getting baby products wrapped in cellophane paper, she wanted a gift with a more personal touch and lasting, to remind her friend of the next milestone in her life- motherhood.

Having photographed hundreds of newborns, we have imprinted something for parents and children to remember by, a memoir of sort. We have captured a week’s old grin and wrinkly feet and first laughs frozen in pictures.

We photographed families who never had their pictures taken professionally before and family portraits provide a solace for parents whose children have grown-up, and now continents apart.

Being in this industry we have experienced the beauty and joy photographs can bring to someone and we want to share it.
