New Year New Ideas! | Family Studio Photography

Chinese new year is coming!

I am usually the last minute type but I don’t know what came over me this year, but I have started getting ready! *pat myself on my back* haha

And this year my family is going to do something different! We’re gonna have my friends over one of the days to have a dinner party and that’s something new for us. And I am excited!

CNY always had the emphasis on reunion dinners, family visitations, good food and hongbaos. We so easily get into the routine and just go through the motion. We say the same things to our family members each year and some we only see that once a year, we didn’t really get to know one another.

(Like I only recently found out my relative works near city hall area and is there every sunday and I go to the nearby foodcourt almost every other sunday for dinners and I never knew she was that close by – here’s like a potential movie scene… hahaha)

In 6 months | Newborn Photography & 6 Months Baby Photography

Dear child, you’ve gotten a little more chubbier, I see your love handles, rolls on your arms, those fishball cheeks! Baby fat… And you’ll shed those baby fat at some point as you grow up too. And before we know it, sweet child, you’ll learn to crawl and then walk and then speed off really fast.

Family Time | Children Home Photography

It’s a brand new year! And I’m turning a year older soon, like in 2 weeks time :O
Are you in the habit of making new year resolutions? What are the goals we would like to achieve this year?

We photograph children everyday and our clients in want of preserving the memories of their growing children, many made it a family tradition to have a professional photoshoot each year. And this year, if my clients do ask, I would say it is already my 5th year in the company! Time slips by if we don’t take notice, and the very first newborn I photograph was my friend’s kid, and he is turning 6 this year!

We all make budgets and investments but do we budget our time and make wise time investments? It’s so easy to get busy and forget the most important things in life, plus life in Singapore can be so fast-paced, we don’t even have “time” to think.

But this year, I shall get more intentional, especially with family time. There’s no time bank and we can’t save time, and unless I plan for how my 24 hours are going to be spent, it will go right pass me without me even realizing.

Anddddd I shall go exercise. HAHA
Because it’s January, after all our feasting, this is usually the “let’s get fit, and eat clean” month. Consistency would matter too, let’s see how consistent I can get :D

Photography can mean different things to different people or family. It can be something to preserve memories of our ever growing children, photos can be Christmas gifts for grandparents back home as well as having a photoshoot is a way for the family to spend time together too.

Chart those milestones (when your babe starts to sit, starts to walk, or another new family member – a sibling for your firstborn, when they still have those chubby cheeks), too precious to be missed :)
