Capturing Elegance | Maternity Studio Photography

We’ve always enjoyed taking maternity photography.

A lot of pregnant women often tell us how bloated and unattractive they feel.

We understand that, the body changes, hormones fluctuate, the weight gained, and some women would shy away from cameras often not wanting people to take pictures when they feel most unattractive.

It takes some time setting up the light and finding flattering angles that will help to capture both the personality and  create beautiful images of expectant women.

We think that all mothers and mother-to-be are beautiful creatures. It is not an easy task bearing and carrying a child in the tummy for nine months. So cheers to all of them!

Giving birth and being born brings us into the essence of creation, where the human spirit is courageous and bold and the body, a miracle of wisdom.

Silhouetted Bump | Maternity Studio Photography

We have been very inspired by a lot of the silhouetted maternity photography images that seems to be on the surge these days.

Silhouette techniques involved an extensive knowledge and technique when it comes to projecting the light to get a soft huey, almost dreamy like image.

There are those who like this genre of photography, as it provides a sort of a canvas, or anonymity yet still able to achieve that classy and elegant look that bodes well with expectant mothers.

There is a certain artistic kick or twist to the picture that makes these “semi-nude” pictures looked very becoming.

We have Annie Leibovitz to thank for it. She was the first break the norm and started the whole maternity photography trend which was once considered controversial by emblazoning the heavily pregnant Demi Moore on the cover of Vanity Fair in 1991.

Since then, many photographers have attempted and produced maternity images of women who’d like to capture their pregnancy moment.

Trust | Maternity & Newborn Studio Photography

We always get a little excited when our clients whose maternity photos we shoot emailed us bringing the good news that the little one has been delivered.
Then it is another few days of waiting before we get our hands on the little bundle for the newborn photography session.

Usually, some first-time parents do get jittery and anxious when it comes to letting outsiders hold their babies.
Therefore it is humbling when we witness parents relaxing and letting us handle and capture the images of their newborn because
it shows that they trust us.
Building trust with people can be challenging, and we know that trust is easily broken, so with that in mind, we at Bambini strive
to always be at the top of our game.

It wasn’t easy to get to the point of we are, at the moment. It takes a lot of time and dedication and understanding what exactly the baby needs.
We study and scour books on babies and get advise from people who’ve had years of experience handling newborn.  We learn every day from our mentor, Hart, who
never fails to pinpoint what we could do and what to avoid during newborn shoots, he constantly seek to improve the images that we produced.

So that we can in a small way [we hope] always be a part of a family, creating images that they’ll look back fondly for many years to come.
