Metaphrasing femininity into pictures, putting into picture that pregnancy glow in all its glory. We are constantly pushing ourselves to do better. To study flattering poses, angles, lighting, finding appropriate props and techniques. And lately, we’ve been toying with the idea of photo composition.

Photo composition is nothing new in the photography world, a technique often used by award-winning photographers to relay their stories – you have probably chanced on a few in art galleries or glossy magazines. It allows the photographer to keep a focus on the subject matter and not other details in the scene, and a give a skilled photographer the flexibility, however will work on carefully constructing a scene to help produce incredible images.

Traditionally there are two types of maternity photography- indoor and outdoor. Indoor shoot is done usually in the studio or at a client’s home. While outdoor photoshoot can be done in botanical parks or beaches, where nature is involved.

Some women chose a studio setting with a certain photography style in mind [artistic, bare-it-all images] and those who are late in their pregnancy might prefer studio over outdoor for convenience’s sake. While the idea of outdoor photoshoot is tempting, the need for frequent toilet trips may not bode well in places where toilets are scarce, and the unpredictable weather, too rainy or too sunny – may not be the most comfortable for most people…

This is where photo composition work its magic wand…  through it we are able to create ethereal outdoor background for every photoshoot done in the studio, minus the inconvenience.

The results of photo compositions are often dreamy and magical. You can find yourself lost in the lush woods and forest filled with orange and red hues or have your picture taken in a place where the sky is azure blue and sand so white it hurts your eyes, in a good way. Those are the wonders we would like to achieve for you.
