The Bambini Story – Growing With Families Since 2009
Bambini Photography started in Singapore in 2009 with a simple idea of photographing families as they grow.
From pregnancy and newborn days to childhood, family portraits, graduation and eventually multi-generation family photos. We wanted to create a studio where families could return to through the different stages of life.
More than 17 years later, that idea still guides what we do.
It Started With Growing Families
Bambini Photography was co-founded in 2009 by Hart Tan of Tomato Photo.
In our earlier days, much of our photography focused on early family life namely maternity, newborn and young children with their family portraits. But what became clear over time was that families didn’t stop there.
They returned as their children grew. They came back for new milestones and eventually gathered again. This time with grandparents, grown up children and sometimes the entire extended family.

Today we photograph families across all stages of life from maternity, newborns, children, families, graduation, multi-generation families and professional portraits under one roof.
Bambini Today
A lot has changed since 2009. After working across several studio spaces, Bambini now operates from a single large studio in Ubi which was designed to accommodate everything from newborn sessions to large extended family groups.
Sessions are led by Syafiq, better known as Mr Potato, supported by our production and client service team.
Hart continues to mentor the Bambini photographer and team in portrait photography, working with people and client experience.
What hasn’t changed is our approach to keep professional photography clear, guided and straightforward.
Professional Photography, Made Easy
Most people who walk into our studio aren’t professional models, and we don’t expect them to be.
You don’t need to know how to pose or where to stand or look. That’s our job. We guide the entire session so you can focus on the people you came with.
We also believe in clarity. That’s why our packages are clear, sessions are fully guided, and image selection is done easily online after your shoot.

Families rarely stay the same for very long and so do the reasons they come to us.
Some’s first visit were during pregnancy or newborn days. Others come when children are older, or when it’s finally time to gather everyone together in one important family photo.
Over time, these moments naturally become part of a larger family story. The one that unfolds across different stages of life.
Meet Mr Potato
Syafiq, better known as Mr Potato is the photographer behind Bambini’s studio sessions.
His natural rapport with children are often noticed immediately by families where is is known for being light-hearted and funny during sessions, and children tend to wam up to him quickly as “Mr Potato”.
Outside of photography, Syafiq is also active in Singapore’ music and performing arts space, which further shapes his comfort working with people, expression and live interaction.
Still Growing With Families
When Bambini started in 2009, we hoped families might return as their children grew.
Many do.
Others discover us later when they’re expecting a baby, celebrating a graduation, updating a family portrait, or finally bringing the whole extended family together.
