What To Expect Before Your Graduation Photoshoot
A little preparation before the session can make the entire experience smoother and more enjoyable for everyone involved. This is especially so when coordinating family members across different schedules and generations.
Booking
Graduation season in Singapore can get busy, especially around university and school convocation periods.

If you’re planning to include parents, grandparents, siblings, or extended family members, securing a suitable time slot earlier also makes coordination easier for everyone.

We recommend preparing:

✔️ Dress shoes, covered shoes or heels
✔️ Matching socks with formal shoes
✔️Simple, well-fitted outfits always photograph best.
For men, long-sleeved shirts, blazers, dress pants or smart business attire work well.
For ladies, simple dresses, blouses, skirts or elegant formal wear are timeless choices.
Avoid overly distracting patterns/checkered/large or small floral prints, neon colours, or large logos that may draw attention away from expressions and interactions.
Casual Wear
After the formal portraits, many families choose to change into something more relaxed and personal for the casual family setup.
For best results, we recommend:

✔ Soft, neutral or earthy colours
✔ Simple, timeless outfits
Good colour combinations include:

What To Expect During Your Graduation Photoshoot
Most graduates and families who visit us are not professional models. The images on our portfolio are real everyday families.
Many families arrive feeling slightly nervous, unsure how to pose, or worried that the session may feel awkward. This is completely normal.
The good news is that a graduation photoshoot is designed to be relaxed, guided, and straightforward from start to finish.
From individual graduation portraits to different family combinations, guidance will be provided throughout the session so you don’t have to worry about what to do in front of the camera.
The flow of the session is usually kept simple and efficient:
✨ starting with formal graduation and family set ups; and
✨ ending with more casual and relaxed setups if desired.
Most graduation family sessions take around an hour. Larger multi-generation sessions may require more time depending on the number of people, family combinations and outfit or setup changes.
Family Combinations
We always start with the family shot regardless of a family of 4 or 20 people multi-generation family.
Therefore, we need every family member to arrive in studio at the same time before we start.
This typically includes:
✨ Full family portraits (including 2, 3 or even 4 generations)
✨ Grandparents with the entire family
✨ Grandparents with their children
✨ Grandparents with grandchildren
✨ Grandparents with the graduate
From there, we gradually move into smaller combinations such as:
